Ratio of Boys vs Girls

In the last NAG at UTP the boys vs girls ratio was around 2:1. So it was fair the past year's prize allocation was 1-5 for the girls and 1-10 for the boys.

This year it's surprising that the girls vs boys ratio is close to 1:1. A parent brought this to the organiser's attention to increase the prizes for the girls.

Still it's a good sign that girls participation in chess is increasing.
